Run Ridge Run

Distance: 13km | 25km | Kids Race (~1km)
Both races offer challenging climbs, descents and technicality that you’ve come to love from all our CMTR races. The 13km course will skirt around Sasamat Lake on the Buntzen Ridge Trail and glimpse Buntzen Lake. The 25km course will continue on to attack the Diez Vistas Ridge before following the Lakeview Trail, and then grazing Buntzen Lake before the final climb back up and over to the finish at Sasamat Lake.
These trails have been local favourites for years and it is our absolute pleasure to bring you formidable routes that will showcase the beautiful lakes and famous views.
A perfect final training race before tackling the Diez Vista 50km in April.
The Kids Race is 1km in length, and most runners are aged between 3 – 10, though we welcome all kids to participate. It’s not timed, is non-competitive and purely for the fun of all involved, but with special kids’ bibs and random draw prizes. Registration is free, and is available online, or on race morning.
Descent: 600m / 2000ft

ID MUST BE SHOWN TO PICKUP YOUR RACER PACKAGE. BIBS CANNOT BE PICKED UP BY ANYONE BUT THE REGISTERED RUNNER. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Start/Finish: Sasamat Lake
Parking: Parking at Sasamat Lake at White Pine Beach.
Aid Stations: One water station and one aid station per distance (shown on the course maps).
Water station is located six kilometres into both races and where both races will split and go in opposite directions.
Aid station is at KM 8.5 in the 13km race and KM 18 in the 25km race.
Bag Check: There will be a tent at the start/finish line to leave a bag, but it is not monitored so please label your bag and do not leave any valuables.
Cupless: In our effort to reduce waste, all our races are now cup-free, meaning you’ll need to pack along your own cup for fluids at aid stations and at the finish line. Here are two suggestions: a collapsible cup (available in our merch store), or a homemade version cutting the top off an empty juicebox.
Poles (hiking / trekking / running poles) are NOT ALLOWED in any distances at Run Ridge Run.
Cutoffs: One cutoff on the long course only. Located at the Aid Station which is at approximate kilometer 18. Cutoff time is at 1:30pm or four and a half hours into your run.
